Vietnamese people choose Lunar July 15th as a day to appreciate (t«n vinh) all mothers and we have a special name for this occasion, the Vu Lan season.
On this day people often go to pagodas to pray for the best things for their mothers. It is a tradition that every child wears a rose on this day. Air pollution is the first kind. It mostly comes from fumes released from motorbikes, cars, trains and gases from factories. Also, waste is dumped anywhere, even in the city where many people are living. The second pollution problem is sea pollution. This is a picture of Singapore . Do you think that it is a beautiful country ?The streets here are always clean and there aren’t any motorcycles . The people are very friendly .My classmates know that I have difficulties in speaking English so they are willing to help me practice English.
Singapore is famous for its Zoological Gardens with a lot of wild animals .I’ve visited it twice and was really impressed . When I am free, I like walking along the streets here . There are a lot of luxury hotels and shopping malls in Singapore but I don’t often buy anything if not necessary because things here are far more expensive than in Vietnam . I miss all of you a lot. Drought is a condition that results when the average rainfall for a fertile area drops far below the normal amount for a long period of time. In the areas that are not irrigated, the lack of rain causes farm crops to wither and die. Higher than normal temperatures usually accompany periods of drought. They add to the crop damage. Forest fires start easily during droughts. The soil of a drought area becomes dry. Often the rich topsoil is blown away by the hot dry winds. Streams, ponds and wells often dry up during a drought, and animals suffer and may even die because of the lack of water.
