Unit 3 Week: 3 Date: 21/9 – 26/9/2020 Teacher’s name: Nguyen Tuan Class: 6/1, 6/2 Period: 1 A1 & A2 Section I. Aim: Students will be able to say what things are. II. Language content 1/ Vocabulary: House, living room, stool, television, stereo, lamp, table, armchair 2/ Structures What are these? They are What are those? III. Teaching aids: Real objects, cassette, tape and projector. IV. Techniques: Noughts and crosses, brainstorming, role play, pair work and group work. V. Procedure: Stages Teacher’s and students’ activities Content T STS Warm up Presentation Practice Production Homework Divide the ahole class into two groups, A and B. Ask them to choose a square and make a sentence with the word in it. The winner who can complete three sentences in a straight line. Comment about the game after playing. Call sts to look at a picture of the house and ask “ what’s this? It’s a house and this is a living room.” Ask them to guess what there is in the living room. Get feedback. Call them to listen to the tape carefully and then check their prediction. Read some new words aloud ( chorally – individually) Student reads word by word. Group 1 go to the board and write from 1 to ten , group two write from eleven to twenty. Use some learnt numbers to lead in the new lesson. Intrduce the cardinal numbers from 1 to 100. Write the cardinal numbers on the board. Read aloud after the teacher. ( chorally/ individually) Ask sts to look at the picture in the textbok carefully in two minutes. Call them to close their books , work in groups and try to remember what there are in the picture. Have them look at the books again and check how many there are. Notice some nouns in plural. Call them to turn some nouns in singular into plural. Ask them to wite their exercises into their notebooks. Learn the cardinal mumbers by heart. Prepare some new words in B3- B5 for the next period.
