New lesson: (40’) Keys 1. Present simple tense is /lives/ are/ goes are/ eat/ rides/ catches 2. Future simple tense He will do his homework, but he won’t tidy the yard. He will see a movie, but he won’t watch T V. He will write to his grandmother, but he won’t meet Minh. 3. Ordinal numbers first (1), fourth ( 4), fifth (5 ), sixth ( 6), third( 3), second( 2), seventh ( 7) 4. Prepositions: It’s under the table. It’s in front of the chair. It’s behind the TV. Listen to the tape and complete the time on schedule on Friday and Saturday. While listening Students listen to the tape In pairs, students compare their answers Correcting task 1 Friday: 7. 50, 9. 40, Saturday: 1.00, 3.40, Task 2: Listen again and write the changes of subjects to the schedule on Friday and Saturday. How about asking and answering about the schedule? Setting up the scene: Hoa and Thu are talking about the timetable. TASK 1: Questions – answers Now we will listen to a dialog between Hoa and Thu. Before listening, I have one question for you “How many school subjects does Thu have on Wednesday and Thursday?” Listen and read it in your books. Try to find the answer (using multiple choice) a. 5 b. 4 Students choose a. or b. above while listening and reading *While-reading Correcting task 1 after the 1st listening: Thu has 5 subjects on Wednesday and Thursday Questions – answers: Teacher asks some more question:( or written on board) When does Thu have English classes? TASK 2: Read the text again (2nd time), and answer the questions: Teacher asks some more questions: Are the schools in the USA the same or different from schools in Viet Nam? How many breaks do they have everyday? Where do they go to buy food and drinks then? What are the most popular activities when schools finish? Do they like playing baseball the most?
