Ask sts to look at the picture 3 ( page 17) in 30 seconds. Sts look at the picture 3 quickly. Have them close their books and answer the questions . Build a context to lead in. Ask sts to give some information about the new friend. Get sts to read some information in the text to answer some questions. Let sts write a paragraph about Tam. Sts write a paragraph. Ask them to compare with their partners. Correct students’ mistakes. Ask them to speak in front of the class. Have them write a paragraph about one of their closest friends.
